The Archives page is Under Construction…

Archives.  These Archives hold a significant part of the history of the Texas Line Dance Jamboree. Included are Primary and Favorite Dances by year, Floor Splits by year, Scripts for Past Jam Dances, and Past Jam Coordinators.

The Texas Line Dance Jamboree dates from 1996.  There is some information that indicates the Jamboree may not have been officially dubbed “The Jamboree” for the first 2 or 3 years, but there were definitely some early large state-wide line dance parties organized by the Jam originators.  These parties were certainly the pre-curser to the Jam and what is known is included here with the Jam’s history.
barbwire1transparentPrimary and Favorite Dances by Year.  Saturday is the main event of the Jamboree.  The  dance list for Saturday is made up of the 8 Primary (new) Dances and the year’s 30 Favorite Dances from past Jamborees.  Sometimes there are more Primary and Favorite Dances because of ties during the selection process.  For Primary and Favorite Dances history, click the year… 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016.  Note: a few of these lists have active links to the dance step sheets.  Some of the lists appear to have links but they are not active.
barbwire1transparentFloor Splits.  The use of floor splits started in 2006 in an effort to increase participation.  Because of the positive response, a tradition was started!  For floor split history, click the year… 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.
barbwire1transparenttexasfreezeStep Sheets for Past Jam Dances.  This section is Under Construction. With the exception of the first two years, typically, 8 to 10 new dances have been selected each year.  In this section are step sheets for the new dances that were introduced at each Jamboree.  For step sheets of these dances, click the year… 1996, 1997,1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014.
barbwire1transparentRoseSml_ transparentJam Coordinators.  Jam Coordinators are special.  We appreciate them and the time and effort they and their team spend organizing the Jam.  Remember… because of them we have the Jamboree… and the Jam is always a good time!  Be sure to give them a big old Texas “thank you”.
